Why it exists
Senon Solutions needed an edge network it operated rather than one it rented feature by feature, bringing relay, CDN, and global server connections under a single operating model. Senon Cloud is that layer. It carries Senon Solutions' own products and extends to clients, sometimes bundled into a project being built for them, sometimes provisioned as separate access so their engineers deploy against it directly.
Nodes, not functions
Where comparable platforms cap edge functions at milliseconds, a Senon Cloud node allocates up to five minutes of CPU per request, which is enough to do real work at the edge instead of forwarding it to an origin. Nodes execute TypeScript, Python, and Rust natively. The node runtime itself is built in three languages chosen for what each does best: Erlang, where supervision and process isolation are the default architecture rather than something bolted on afterwards; Go for high concurrency; and Rust wherever raw speed and memory safety decide the outcome.
At scale
The network spans 120+ countries against a global footprint of more than 100,000 users: roughly 4.29 million requests and 1.23 TB of CDN traffic a day, 36.8 TB a month, and about 143 million node invocations a month. 85.4% of requests are served from the edge at 28 ms TTFB, against 145 ms for an uncached origin fetch, at 99.99% availability. Real-time sessions peak at 14,000 to 18,000 concurrent users and relay 1.28 to 1.58 PB a month. On the security path the network blocks roughly 85,700 malicious events a day and has absorbed 750,000 requests per second in stress testing.
